The Tumblr-Facebook relationship just got tighter with a new Facebook integration update on Tumblr. Tumblr is now an official Open Graph Facebook partner, which means that your Tumblr posts, comments and likes will appear on your Timeline, News Feed and Ticker as what they are – Tumblr activity.
Up until now, a Facebook-Tumblr integration did exist, but your Tumblr posts were posted on Facebook as regular links, and that was the only shareable activity. This is no longer the case. If you visit your Tumblr settings now, you’ll find that Facebook integration has been updated, and you can also decide whether you’d like to share likes and replies from Tumblr on your Timeline.

Another sorely lacking feature which is included in the new update is the ability to toggle Facebook sharing from the post itself. Previously, you could only toggle Twitter sharing, and had to decide about Facebook sharing globally for all posts. It is also possible to submit posts from more than one Tumblr blog to Facebook.
When you share Tumblr activities and posts on Facebook, they will be grouped together, which will be less overwhelming for you friends, especially if you’re very active on Tumblr.
What do you think of the update? Will this change the way you share your Tumblr activity on Facebook?
